I agree with the gentleman in opposing this amendment. This amendment is another form of the amendment that will be offered by the gentleman from Pennsylvania later on. For the same reasons as the gentleman from Ohio so eloquently outlined, I think the Farr amendment should be defeated. Sure, it would be great if we had enough money to buy land for the Park Service, the Bureau of Land Management, the Fish and Wildlife Service, and the Forest Service. The Land and Water Conservation Fund needs that money. We just do not have it under the 602(b) allocation that we received, and it is very important that the fossil energy research and development continue with the money that we have allocated.
