The language I seek to strike was not in the bill in our committee. It was put in by the Committee on Commerce, and I think upon mature reflection it undoes the purpose of the statute of repose. It would leave it open-ended, almost impossible to predict or fulfill, and, therefore, if you are for a statute of repose, I should think you would be for having it a definite, time-certain.
