Sometimes it takes us a long time to get to the right conclusion and to reach fairness and justice.

The DREAM Act only applies to young persons who made no decision to come to America.

The DREAM Act would make America a stronger country by giving these talented immigrants the chance to fulfill their potential.

Under the DREAM Act no one will be eligible unless they arrived in the United States at least 5 years before the bill became law.

Occasionally some of them are able to get United States citizenship through their military service, but in other cases, the outcome is not a pretty one.

Not to give them opportunity, we hurt our country, and that is what I simply cannot get past.

That is un-American, and it violates the very spirit of our Constitution, which specifically says that there shall be no corruption of blood.
