This is a 50-year-plus legacy of some very bitter experiences where the Federal Government continues to supervise and preclear laws on voting to make sure that there is no discrimination.
Is it fear-mongering to be mindful of that and to suggest that any new law should be viewed in that same context?

if you are waiting for Senator Kyl and I to ask those questions to catch the nominees in some erroneous ruling on a case or something, that is not likely to occur.
Both Senator Pryor and Senator Boozman referenced that, and that is a program for indigent clients to seek out representation in a variety of legal matters.
