I join with my colleagues in offering my sincerest condolences to the victims of the horrific terrorist attack in Manchester on Monday evening, many of them children.

I hope that as a body, as was stated, that we can make it clear to Iran that it is the policy of our Nation, of this Congress, not just now, not just for the term of the agreement but forever that this regime will never get a nuclear…

I am very excited not just to be on this Committee, but to be working with you, working to help small businesses and small farms across our country to continue to be the engine of our economy.

It is so important for us to hear what you are dealing with so we can understand.

Seven years ago, President Obama signed into law the Affordable Care Act.

86 percent of small business owners see regulations as a necessary part of our modern economy.

Most regulations serve an important purpose, like ensuring food is safe to eat and our air and water remain unpolluted.

These trailblazers, both new entrepreneurs and small growing firms, animate the American economy.

There are nearly 30 million small businesses in the United States representing more than 99 percent of all businesses.

I would also add my voice to calling for an independent commission to investigate the Russian efforts to interfere in our elections.

If there is going to be a deal, it must only be a good deal. And a good deal will only be such if it blocks all of Iran's pathways to a nuclear weapon.

The hearing today, the conversations we have had now for generations, has been about justice.

The Affordable Care Act is often a contentious issue, but I think many of us on the Committee can at least agree that the issues small businesses are facing, have been facing in the marketplace, are difficult.

Justice, justice, shall you pursue.

I commend Mr. Chabot for the Girls Count Act.

It should be measured in generations. Because, as you said, it is an existential threat not just for Israeli, but for many countries around the region, and a threat to the world.

We want it to be crystal clear to the world that we tried diplomacy as far as we could take it and Iran could not do what it needed to do.

I think we need to be clear. And I think, if we do tell Iran what their options are so there is no doubt, we have a better chance of getting to a successful resolution on negotiations.

It is imperative--and I will repeat myself because I think it bears repeating--that Iran cannot be allowed to have the capability to get a nuclear weapon.

With more than 319 cosponsors in the House, I hope that this body will strongly support its passage, and that the Senate will move swiftly to enact legislation as well.

I agree with you and I know last month this committee passed unanimously the Hezbollah sanctions bill that would limit or prohibit their access to international banking and thwart some of that relationship.
