This bill will help protect our country from cyber-attacks by requiring the President to designate foreign persons and entities responsible for state-sponsored cyber threats.

This bill solely covers commercial activity and does nothing to limit the rights of individuals protected by the First Amendment.

Regulations serve an important purpose in helping to keep us safe.

It is our role in Congress to help support farmers so that they can continue their work growing our food and our economy and make our farming communities strong.

Since the founding of this Nation, farms and farmers have always played a significant role in the United States' economy.

Thank you, Mr. Chairman. And again, I am glad we are able to have this hearing, and I thank the witnesses for joining us today to share their perspectives and insights on this issue.

I hope as Democrats and Republicans we can stick to those ideals. We can stand strong and we can be that beacon to the rest of the world.

The ultimate determinant in the struggle that's now going on in the world will not be the bombs and rockets but the test of will and ideas--our ideas, if you will--a trial of spiritual resolve.

My entire life but, really, the entire history of our country we have been a light to the other nations--a beacon of hope to people around the world.

Every week, we seem to learn more about the sophisticated network of social media bots and online ads used to spread misinformation during the 2016 election.

I want to thank the chairman and ranking member for convening today's markup and for their leadership in this committee.

I think our leadership is more important now than ever.

We've pushed Iran back for a year for up to 15 years. That's a good thing.

I believe there are gaps in the JCPOA and, particularly, with sunsets and some of the other issues there are flaws.

I believe it should and I felt this way before the JCPOA--we should make clear that we will never ever allow Iran to have a nuclear weapon--not now, not during the terms of this agreement, not afterwards.

I believe that we have to do all that we can. We have a moral responsibility to do all that we can to make sure that not just Syria but the world understands chemical weapons.

But when the President of the United States said couple weeks ago within 6 months U.S. troops are going to be out of Iran, we are washing our hands, what signal does that send to all of our allies in the region?
