Bobby Rush is a former U.S. Representative from Illinois, serving from January 5, 1993, to January 3, 2021. A member of the Democratic Party, Rush was known for his advocacy on issues related to children's safety and consumer protection. He worked closely with colleagues to strengthen agencies responsible for safeguarding children and emphasized the need for legislative changes to ensure the safety of products available to families. Rush's tenure in Congress was marked by his commitment to social justice and community empowerment, reflecting his deep roots in the civil rights movement.
this is an agency that can't justify its existence, especially in terms of the results that it has achieved for the American people.
I humbly submit to you that it should be scrapped and that you don't put new wine into old wineskins.
If it worked on a sliding scale fee, then they took away 50 for every extra dollar that I made, I would be able to more work myself off of SNAP benefits.
In March 2021, Rep. Frank Pallone, Rep. Paul Tonko, and Rep. Bobby Rush introduced the Climate Leadership and Environmental Action for our Nation's (CLEAN) Future Act (H.R. 1512).
I believe Congress and the Department have an opportunity to work collaboratively to improve cyber response and harden our Nation's critical energy infrastructure.
