Barack Obama served as the 44th President of the United States from January 20, 2009, to January 20, 2017. A member of the Democratic Party, he previously represented Illinois in the U.S. Senate from 2005 to 2008 and served in the Illinois State Senate from 1997 to 2004. Obama is known for his signature policies including the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare, and his efforts in economic recovery following the 2008 financial crisis. His presidency was marked by significant legislative achievements and a focus on healthcare reform, climate change, and foreign policy initiatives such as the Iran nuclear deal.

Grateful for the long-overdue release of Brittney Griner today from Russian custody. Kudos to POTUS and his administration for the difficult diplomatic work involved to make it happen. We're looking forward to having Brittney back home.
As far as I'm concerned, he can be anything he wants to be, except for a United States Senator.
I did not think he had either the competence, the character, and the track record of service that would justify him representing Georgia in the United States Senate.
I know a lot of folks have been voting early over the last few days. That is a good thing. That is an encouraging thing. But -- you knew there was a but -- plenty of folks haven't voted yet.
Since the last time I was here, Mr. Walker has been talking about issues that are of great importance to the people of Georgia. Like whether it's better to be a vampire or a werewolf!
