It is a great honor to be here to sign the Gabriella Miller Kids First Research Act.

Randolph D. Moss, Maryland, to be United States District Judge for the District of Columbia, vice Robert Leon Wilkins, elevated.

You guys have done a great job, and what an extraordinary achievement it is for all of you to have represented the United States of America at our Olympic and Paralympic Games.

All of you remind us, just like the Olympic creed states: The most important thing in life is not the triumph, but the fight.

These individuals have demonstrated the talent, expertise, and fair-mindedness Americans expect and deserve from their judicial system.

I am grateful for their willingness to serve and confident that they will apply the law with the utmost impartiality and integrity.

Many of the people there have been through multiple tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. They serve with valor and they serve with distinction.

We're heartbroken that something like this might have happened again.

We know these families. We know their incredible service to our country and the sacrifices that they make.

Obviously this reopens the pain of what happened at Fort Hood five years ago.

I want to just assure all of us that we are going to get to bottom of exactly what happened.

Obviously, we're following it closely. The situation is fluid right now, but my National Security team is in close contact with not just the Defense Department but the FBI.

So if somebody wants to build a coal plant, they can. It is just that it will bankrupt them because they are going to be charged a huge sum for all that greenhouse gas that is being admitted.

We're going to continue to encourage Congress to take action, but the President is not going to wait for them.

Today, the President declared a major disaster in the State of Washington and ordered federal aid to supplement state, tribal, and local recovery efforts.

Under this law, the share of Americans with insurance is up, and the growth of health care costs is down.

We must also do more to improve our understanding of the autism spectrum.

Sometimes, sports seems like it's trivial, it's just an entertainment.

Let us celebrate our differences—but let us also acknowledge our responsibilities to each other and move forward as one.

I'm grateful for their character and their embrace of the essential role they played in the spirit of that city.

I encourage all Americans to learn more about autism and what they can do to support individuals on the autism spectrum and their families.

I encourage all Americans to think about their loved ones and to consider becoming a donor.

I also encourage Americans to be aware of warning signs of child abuse and neglect.

Let us recognize that we all have a stake in preventing sexual assault, and we all have the power to make a difference.

I urge all Americans to support survivors of sexual assault and work together to prevent these crimes in their communities.
