The Paycheck Fairness Act is commonsense legislation that would strengthen the 1963 Equal Pay Act.

The notion that your mom, your sister, your daughters, your spouse should not be discriminated against at the workplace, and if they're doing a good job doing something, that they should get paid the same as somebody's son, husband, father.

As Commander in Chief, I'm determined that we will continue to step up our efforts to reach our troops and veterans who are hurting.

That's wrong, and it's harmful for our national efforts to rebuild an economy that gives every American who works hard a fair shot to get ahead.

How is it that we're putting up with that when we don't have to?

Three-quarters of the country agrees we should raise the minimum wage.

Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends.

America should be a level playing field, a fair race for everybody.

While working women have made extraordinary progress over the past five decades since enactment of the Equal Pay Act of 1963, they still earn only 77 cents for every dollar that a man earns.

America deserves equal pay for equal work.

We can't leave that to chance.

The Paycheck Fairness Act represents a significant step forward to address pay disparities and other obstacles that continue to harm the advancement of women in our economy.

It's time to get this done.
