On this Yom HaShoah, I join people of all faiths in the United States, in the State of Israel, and around the world in remembering the 6 million Jews—innocent men, women, and children—who were senselessly murdered during the Holocaust.

I want to congratulate these American companies for completing these important commercial deals.

This day also provides us with an opportunity to honor those who emerged from the darkness of the Shoah to rebuild their lives in new communities around the world.

Today reminds us that we need to do everything we can to promote more trade and ties like this.

Countries that welcome the contributions, and uphold the human rights of all their citizens, regardless of their political affiliation, ethnicity, race or religion are ultimately more prosperous and more successful.
