I'm going to take a little extra time to say thank you to Michelle for the remarkable way she does the most important job: being a mom.

I encourage all Americans to celebrate the progress we have made in protecting women's health and to promote awareness, preventive care, and educational activities that improve the health of all women.

Ensuring women can live full and healthy lives is vital, and central to that mission is improving the quality, affordability, and accessibility of health care for women.

I do hereby proclaim May 6, 2016, as Military Spouse Appreciation Day.

These individuals have taken responsibility for their actions and have worked hard to turn their lives around.

On Military Spouse Appreciation Day, we honor the spouses of those who have left behind everything they know and love to join our Nation's unbroken chain of patriots.

We've made a lot of progress over these past 8 years.

I believe that America's criminal justice system must reflect our values and aspirations as a nation.

I challenge every American to keep asking that simple question: 'How can I give back to these troops and families who have given me so much?'
