I want to speak for just a moment on behalf of Senate Bill 279, the Public Lands Renewable Energy Development Act.

We'd like to see it. Even more importantly we'd like to see the draft EIS.

If enacted this bill would return the money collected to the State and county where the project occurs.

Additionally, funding will be provided through that act to the Renewable Energy Resource Conservation Fund which would conserve vital wildlife habitat and enhance public access to Federal lands.

Unlike a lot of States, Idaho took the bull by the horns decades ago and said look, we've got a mess here.

At some point in time that or something is going to have to be used.

We need the modernization program moved forward aggressively.
