This year, on November 4, the women's wrestling team officially kicked off their inaugural season. The Hawkeyes dominated East Stroudsburg, winning 43-1. On Sunday, November 5, the Hawkeyes competed in the Princeton Open, bringing home six gold medals. Over the weekend, a crowd of 8,207 people showed up for the Hawkeye women's Carver- Hawkeye Arena debut for the Trailblazer Duals. The Iowa women's wrestling team is off to a wonderful start. The team is led by Head Coach Clarissa Chun, a two-time Olympian who took fifth at the 2008 Beijing Games before earning a bronze medal at the 2012 London Games. With a roster comprised of 28 impressive women, the Hawkeyes are sure to continue this dominance throughout the remainder of their 13-match season. Go Hawks.
