What strikes me about the Commission's report, moving on to that, is that this disaster could have been prevented.
What the businesses in Hawaii were saying is please, please exempt Hawaii's law from whatever you folks are doing because they--our law works.
Hawaii, for over 35 years, has had probably the most progressive and comprehensive health care law in the entire country.
I don't think that we should all be reinventing the wheel. We should learn from other states' experiences.
There is no question that health care costs have been rising... Just to slow that down, never mind bending the curve, I think, is a huge accomplishment for us.
I certainly share this administration's view that infrastructure is one of the areas that we absolutely have to put resources into.
I think that all of the provisions in that reauthorization really affect every single community.
I would hope that with this Congress that we will be able to come up with a reasonable, fair, and forward-looking FAA reauthorization.
The real-life impact on remote areas and communities all across our country... would be very extreme if we do not continue to support EAS.
