“But I think we would be remiss if we missed a simple intelligible fact, as if one of the fundamental dialogues that must occur is within the Muslim community itself, both here and home. While conversation amongst the religions is always very healthy, we face a dire situation in the Muslim community where there are those who are bent on the death and destruction not only of non-Muslims but upon Muslims themselves. So I would ask my Muslim friends to engage in that dialogue amongst their co-religionists because, in the final analysis, I, as an outsider, in my own mind, in my own heart, can think of no truer definition of an infidel than someone who claims to be a Muslim, killing their fellow Muslims in the name of Allah.”
