Kansas has made a habit in recent years of doing the right thing, the election of Laura Kelly in the face of the extremist Kris Kobach signal that Kansas wanted good leadership. And in this case, they wanted the right to freedom for women in that state. They refuse to allow women to be relegated to second-class citizenship.

Today, women in Georgia lost the right to choose their futures. We are now being governed by one of the most extreme abortion bans in the nation.

Unfortunately, Georgia remains in the center of conversations about voter protection and voter integrity, in part because, while we had two leaders who did the right thing for one day on the issue of certifying that election, Brian Kemp and Brad Raffensperger had been part of the dog-whistle approach to amplifying those very same challenges.

Brian Kemp is doing an excellent job of showing that he is an extremist who has a hard right agenda that is not in the best interest of Georgia.
