In doing so, we can reduce the budget deficit, reduce the size and scope of the Federal Government, and ensure energy costs for Americans do not further escalate. Let me be clear. Every 100 days, we are borrowing $1 trillion. This is common sense. It should be an easy vote for every Member in this body, and I encourage support of H.R. 1023.”
