Raphael Gamaliel Warnock is an American pastor and politician currently serving as the junior United States senator from Georgia since January 20, 2021. A member of the Democratic Party, Warnock is the first African American to represent Georgia in the U.S. Senate. He previously served as the senior pastor of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta, a position that has deep historical significance in the civil rights movement. Warnock's legislative focus includes issues such as voting rights, healthcare, and economic justice.
Justice looks like a black man not having to worry about being harmed or killed while on a jog, while sleeping in his bed, while living what should be a very long life.
We should do everything we can to expand their pathway for involvement in the ag sector.
I think about the Pigford settlements, for example. Could you be more specific? What specific actions will you take to make sure that farmers of color, and Black farmers, in particular, are treated fairly?

Families across Georgia's rural communities are facing added barriers to adequate nutrition, including distance to a grocery store, limited transportation options, and the availability of quality fresh products at an affordable price.
Prevention, affordability, access to good, nutritious food, and access to healthcare are all caught up in a single web.
This is a matter of life and death for people in my State, all across the country, and Congress must act immediately.
