Anyone who attacks our elections should be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law, correct?

We just heard facts about a foreign government attacking our elections. We've heard that quite a bit this afternoon.

The United States has an atrocious record when it comes to maternal mortality.

Thank you very much, Mr. Chairman, and the esteemed committee.

The zero tolerance policy has and continues to fracture families at our border as punishment for seeking refuge in the United States.

No child should ever have to endure these conditions.

We have absolutely got to end the physical and mental harm faced by our children at the border.

The idea that separations appear to be going on is just unconscionable.

Thank you so much for allowing me to discuss a very important topic to me once again as we have heard a little bit earlier today--maternal mortality.

We have a responsibility to mothers, and their families, to make sure that safety and health is our number one priority.

Comprehensive care for pregnant women saves lives.

The importance of her legislation, the Mothers and Offspring Mortality and Morbidity Awareness Act, or Momma's Act, cannot be overstated.

I do, however, have concerns with actions taken by this administration, and the adverse effects that they could leave on employees and small business owners.

I am committed to truly protecting the rights of workers throughout this country, while also being mindful of the effect of these laws on small businesses.

Unfortunately, these reforms may not be doing enough to affect the outcomes for women.

Under the leadership of Governor Nathan Deal, a Republican, Georgia has enacted bipartisan reforms that are reducing recidivism.

The absence of competition elsewhere in the retail ecosystem stifles the benefits that have historically resulted from the intense competition.

Too often we hear that retailers, manufacturers and suppliers have an uphill battle due to anticompetitive prices online.

So how do you respond to the concern from merchants who have been abruptly suspended by Amazon who they say have no way of ever reaching an Amazon employee to make their case.

But how many do you have, sir, that are----

On the second panel that we have today, Ms. Mitchell in her written testimony she highlights how Amazon abruptly and arbitrarily suspends merchants' accounts, freezing their funds and shutting down their Amazon pages.

I also believe that Congress and agencies have a serious responsibility to make sure that there's real competition in the market.

I am truly deeply concerned about the success of businesses in my district.

Frankly, for many of these veterans, they don't have a whole lot of money to start with.

This small change will help veterans who are most in need, and no one should ever be penalized for the payments they receive for their injuries resulting from their brave service to our country.
