I was dispirited speaking with the former Chief in our last hearing when he described that there was no individual responsible for the security of the United States Capitol.

On February 22d, during this committee's first hearing on the events of January 6th, I asked a simple question of the panel: Who is in charge? Who is ultimately responsible for the security of the United States Capitol Complex?

This is a bipartisan relief effort in that it has the overwhelming support of a vast majority of the American people.

I think there is a reason that 80 percent of the American public supports this COVID relief legislation.
