Well, mandatory spending right now is driving us over the cliff. If we don't do something about our current mandatory spending, the projection is sometime in the early 30s we are going to go over the financial cliff.
And I may have this wrong, but, after the bad situation we had at Fort Hood, it is my understanding that Fort Hood--and maybe corps-wide, they are doing a program where they basically talk to every soldier about not only what the rules are, what the consequences are, and also, if something is happening to you or you think something is happening to you, how you deal with that situation.
We need to decide--I need to know from Secretary Mullen and Lieutenant General Place, we have little confidence that beneficiary care will not be negatively impacted by the reduction in medical billets.
Facilities and infrastructure makes soldiers better fighters, also supporting their families and their happiness back home.
