Congress should act to ensure that funding through Federal disaster recovery programs is distributed equitably.

If you can't afford gas to get to a job site, you can't work. If you can't find someone to watch your kids while you are away, you can't work. If you can't take time off when a need arises, you can't work.

It is imperative that we consider not only the costs of increasing the Legal Service Corporation's funding, but more importantly what costs we will face if we do not support them.

This politicized hearing is yet another example of a Majority more interested in attacking the President than providing thoughtful solutions to our Nation's most pressing issues.
