That whole process of trying to get bipartisan support here in the House I guess was probably doomed to failure from the outset because there was no good-faith being exercised by my friends on the other side. It was just politics as usual. Let's play ``gotcha'' politics, and let's use our control over the media to get our message out and to undercut public support for the change that Americans voted for in November.
