Hank Johnson: “Voters should not have to jump through hoops or traverse a cynically complicated obstacle course just to vote.”

I’m not going to stand by and support an effort to dismantle our democracy through the budgeting process.

I support the legislation, I encourage my colleagues to do the same, and I yield back the balance of my time.

Americans deserve accessible courts close to their homes. There is no reason litigants should incur dramatically increased travel time and administrative costs to seek justice just because someone lives far from the nearest large city…

We will get to a time in this country where we will pass that legislation.
