I mean no disrespect to anyone, but VA should not be focused on helping Veterans attempt to change their sex.

Now, we regret anyone who loses their job, and it’s extraordinarily difficult for me, especially as a VA leader and your secretary, to make these types of decisions.

We’re not going to balance budgets on the back of veterans’ benefits.

But the federal government does not exist to employ people. It exists to serve people.
