I point out to all Members the reason you must pass this amendment is it is against the law to have a sanctuary city, a sanctuary State. This amendment goes to the heart of the frustrations of the police and deputies. They apprehend the criminal aliens, are forced to turn them back onto the streets. You want to know what is wrong? Somebody says tell me something is wrong. Newlywed Dallas, Texas, police officer Brian Jackson, 28 years old, is the latest victim of this outrage. He was shot and killed November 13 in the line of duty. The suspect is an illegal alien that had been arrested and released by Dallas Police Department on September the 11 and again on September the 16 with the full knowledge that he was violating the law. That is why you need to vote for this amendment.
