Absolutely. Mr. Speaker, the gentleman is correct, and it is very important for the people to know that we have a surplus in Social Security as we speak today. And the only reason we will be having a problem is because we folks have borrowed from Social Security to pay other bills. And we have had IOUs, which are Treasury bonds, but they are good all the way up through 2052. And then beyond that, of course, we will even be able to pay 80 percent of it. But I think this kind of system with the President is that you create as much of a crisis as you can. But I do not think the American people will be fooled on this one, as they were with the crisis over the weapons of mass destruction.
