Ted Yoho is a former U.S. Representative from Florida, serving in the House from January 3, 2013, to January 3, 2021. A member of the Republican Party, Yoho represented Florida's 3rd congressional district. During his time in office, he was known for his focus on issues such as healthcare, agriculture, and fiscal responsibility. Yoho was also a member of the House Freedom Caucus, which advocates for limited government and conservative principles.
This amendment will also allow states to deny business licenses to companies engaged in business with Iran.
But if you look at over the course of the last 30 years there's been several times just like now.
If you could, help me think outside of the box here because every time I've come to one of these meetings and over the course of my adult life I hear that we need to throw more money into the Middle East.
And to bring democracy, I understand that and I understand what you're trying to accomplish.
So what can we do different than money at this point in time in our country?
With this amendment, Congress will send a clear message to the Iranian people that we stand with them in their quest for democracy, and we unequivocally support their right to free and fair elections.
We talk a lot about democracy. And going back to our founding fathers, they said that was the worst form of government.
And we respect property rights, life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. And that is what makes America unique.
If the most powerful country in the world doesn't address that particular feature, it is not going to encourage them.
You know, democracy was two wolves and a sheep deciding what to have for dinner. And the sheep always lost in that.
