Ted Yoho is a former U.S. Representative from Florida, serving in the House from January 3, 2013, to January 3, 2021. A member of the Republican Party, Yoho represented Florida's 3rd congressional district. During his time in office, he was known for his focus on issues such as healthcare, agriculture, and fiscal responsibility. Yoho was also a member of the House Freedom Caucus, which advocates for limited government and conservative principles.
I get the same feedback from the producers in our area, that the Department of Labor treats our producers like they are guilty and needed to be proven innocent.
There has almost been like a rabid response--I have been around agriculture since I was 16 years of age, and we have seen just a ramp-up in the amount of investigations with this Administration.
The reason I bring that up is there is a case right now where we have a guy--they went after the contractor.
Because we hear all the time you can't fire a government employee. And certainly--I was on Foreign Affairs when Ms. Clinton said you can't fire anybody in the government.
I think we need to kind of refocus and do a paradigm shift on how we handle our foreign aid.
I think we are seeing maybe the true nature of what the people in charge actually believe. They don't believe in a democracy.
We cannot have it both ways. Either we are for democracy or we are not, and we need to have clarity about that in this body.
I would like to see us do more of that instead of trying to tell them how to run their country.
a democracy, as Ben Franklin pointed out, is two wolves and a sheep deciding what to have for lunch. The sheep always loses.
