Madam Chair, I just want to say that this amendment is very simple. You do not want elections with asterisks. Voters should be able to vote for the candidate they intend to vote for. the Hyde Amendment is not wise. I think it is unjust and cruel, and I believe it takes away the freedom from people to make the most personal decisions that they can have, and it hurts the people who have the least amount of resources.
