I have made a request--actually, myself and a number of members--because this is an appropriations committee, a number of requests to the committee to take a look at some of the falling shortfalls.

But the fact of the matter is I just looked this up. The average child spends between 3 to 6 hours a day in school, depending upon the age.

I think at this particular moment, I wish it was a Federal program so we could actually do some real improvement there.

this is going to be a terrible choice. It is a choice of whether we wreck our economy or we inflict cruel cuts on everyday Americans.
