I submitted 50 written questions to Facebook and other companies, and the responses that we received were unfortunately evasive.

In retrospect, I think we clearly view it as a mistake that we did not inform people.

Has there been an assessment that justifies the need for these increases?

Given that we have unanimous consensus among our intelligence community that Russia interfered in the election of the President of the United States, it would seem to me that this would be a high priority for the Department of Homeland…

So the goal, then, is to get them permanently receiving their security clearance?

This tax plan has ballooned the deficit for the purpose of delivering billions of dollars to the top 1 percent.

Entitlement cuts really mean cutting Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security.

This was a pure giveaway to the corporations and the top 1 percent of the United States.

I am especially troubled that much of the deficit increase can be attributed to the Republican tax plan that was passed a few months ago which will add nearly 1$1.9 trillion to the deficit.

We need a budget that allows Medicare to negotiate drug prices.

A number of Senators--Senator Claire McCaskill and myself included--have ongoing investigations of drug companies and distributors who helped cause and exacerbate the opioid epidemic.

One of the best ways that we can be smart on crime is to follow what the public health model has taught us

I do think that I am very pleased by your investigation and Ranking Member McCaskill's investigation of the role that manufacturers have played.

It is in the best interest of public safety and also taxpayer dollars

It is helpful to have a Federal Government we can work with on climate issues just generally.

We want to take some of those lessons we are learning in those situations and work with the USEPA to help them appreciate what we are doing at the local level and include them in the planning process, because we think that is the key.

I think it important this Committee understands how toxic Superfund sites are impacted by these disasters.
