I find it incredulous that the gentleman believes that the Federal Government should not take advantage of negotiating some discount, just as Sam's Club does to buy discounts on behalf of its customers, or just as the Secretary of Defense does. This is a disservice to the taxpayers of this country and the Medicare beneficiaries. This is the type of debate we should be having in this body, as to how to develop an affordable Medicare benefit.
