I am hoping to get some clarification from the State Department on the current status of the PLO office.
But for decades, the executive branch has had waiver authority to allow the office in DC to remain open.
We sanctioned it by downgrading the status of the PLO office, then immediately waived that sanction in the interests of so-called national security.
It is more important now than ever that we do what we can to ensure the validity and security of our electoral process.
We are missing an opportunity here and are, again, allowing the administration too much leeway.
