Gus Michael Bilirakis is a member of the United States House of Representatives, representing Florida's 12th congressional district since January 4, 2007. A member of the Republican Party, Bilirakis has focused on issues such as healthcare, veterans' affairs, and economic development throughout his tenure. He has been involved in various legislative initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life for his constituents and addressing national concerns. Bilirakis has also served on several committees, contributing to discussions on critical policy matters.
The Congenital Heart Futures Reauthorization Act will continue the CDC surveillance program, continue to provide NIH grants for further congenital heart disease research.
