I’ve always had a fantastic relationship with President Putin, with Vladimir.

There were many, many points that we agree on.

We didn’t get there, but we have a very good chance of getting there.

They’re going to set up a meeting now between President Zelensky and President Putin . . . and myself, I guess.

We, I think, are close to a deal.

Not that I want to be there, but I want to make sure it gets done — and we have a pretty good chance of getting it done.

If it all works out, we will then schedule a meeting with President Putin.

It was determined by all that the best way to end the horrific war between Russia and Ukraine is to go directly to a Peace Agreement, which would end the war, and not a mere Ceasefire Agreement, which often times do not hold up.

It’s really up to President Zelensky to get it done.

It doesn’t matter at this point, but this war should never have happened.

The highly anticipated meeting between myself, as President of the United States of America, and President Vladimir Putin, of Russia, will take place next Friday, August 15, 2025, in the Great State of Alaska.

Well, if it’s a national emergency, we can do it without Congress. But we expect to be before Congress very quickly.

It’s going to be a good meeting, but the more important meeting will be the second meeting that we’re having.

I think President Putin will make peace. I think President Zelensky will make peace.
