I very much applaud you in your efforts to reassert the authority of the Constitution of the United States, because I feel very strongly that not just for years, but for decades, the language of our Constitution has been either subverted or totally ignored. There is probably no better example than the rampant, wanton, overwhelming number of regulations that have come from Federal bureaucrats that have tremendous impact on the day-to-day lives of American families who are very, very often just struggling to make ends meet. ... Furthermore, under the Clinton Administration, there has been a record increase in the number of Federal regulations. They have increased at 4.6 percent per year during the Clinton administration.
