So if the gentleman wants to point guilt, then he should point it to the gentleman's side of the aisle--namely, Democrats where two-thirds of the Democrats of the FCC Commission supported what we are doing today. I point out in closing to the gentleman from Massachusetts (Mr. Markey), if the Christmas mass is broadcast at Fort Pierce, Florida, at midnight on Christmas Eve, and then suddenly that station decides, it wants to also broadcast it on New Year's Eve, what happens? Suddenly the FCC is going to call them up and say, no, and using the gentleman's words, the FCC would say there is primarily not enough educational TV so we are going to have to stop you from broadcasting on New Year's Eve. Vote against the Markey amendment.”
