Given Mr. Lewis' agreement to resolve this situation, I would like to withdraw my amendment to prevent the CEQ from using VA- HUD Appropriation funds to administer the American Heritage Rivers Initiative. I look forward to working with the Chairman and ensuring that the CEQ does not use federal funds to operate the American Heritage Rivers Initiative without Congressional approval. I would like to thank the gentleman for his continued leadership on this issue. Mr. Chairman, let me conclude by saying, does the chairman agree that the CEQ should not use VA-HUD appropriation funds to operate the American Heritage Rivers Initiative without Congressional approval?
