The president is an immigration restrictionist. He has sought to restrict not just illegal immigration, which I think a lot of Americans understand, but also he has sought to limit legal immigration.

We can actually help empower people so they can grow independent of the government and kind of blaze their own pathway.

I think we need to stop lying to young people by telling them there that there is only one pathway to success, which is a traditional 4-year degree.

I am concerned with how the deal will affect the farmers across Florida, but specifically with how it will impact the agriculture community I am honored to represent in south Dade.

I do believe that one of the major components to a successful business and to enterprise generally is certainty.

I strongly believe this program will be critical to any effort to reduce future disaster costs in a significant way.

I think it is incumbent on the Federal Government to help communities like ours solve these problems because it is unfair for all of these costs, for all of the burden, to fall on local school districts and on local municipalities.

Under No Child Left Behind, there were very rigid, unfair, in my opinion, standards used to evaluate English language learners.

Small businesses are very important for all of our communities, because they are the ones that employ the people that don't have access to the big firms.

We really believe that we can do a lot to give small business owners access to new markets.

I hope through this hearing this Committee can identify some potential methods to strengthen our work with the SBA to better support small businesses seeking export opportunities.

Farmers, ranchers and growers have greater access to the SBA's programs and expertise and it will help promote economic activity and job growth across rural America.

We see the administration meeting with people like Diosdado Cabello, someone who is responsible for numerous, numerous, countless human rights abuses in Venezuela.

They send their best and they thank you for your commitment to freedom, to democracy, and to human rights.

I really see this as one of those examples where the government actually ends up hurting the people who most need the help.

Shouldn't the answer be to get rid of it and allow employers to offer the health benefits their employees are requesting and willing to pay for?

The rising costs of healthcare coverage remains a major issue for people in my community. I'm talking employers and employees.

Miami Dade College is one of those places where people go to find hope, opportunity, knowledge.

I certainly believe that at the very least it would make sense to expand Department of Education's role in all of this.
