We have hit our debt ceiling. We are out of money, folks, $31.5 trillion.

My rule change, what it would provide, is an ability for all members to be recognized through the chair.

But let's be very clear. As a member of this committee in the last Congress, there were many members who, frankly, abused the virtual nature of our hearings.

This is an example of what is concerning us in America. We have to be very careful not to quickly label groups and people just because it's politically convenient.

The point I'm making is that labor shortage, which was created by the, quote/unquote, American Rescue Plan...

I'm blaming government policy, because if you're given money without having to exchange it with labor...

We all know that there were severe labor shortages last year.

I think it is timely information that this Committee needs to help advise SBA, and in some respects bring light to some of the policy challenges, economic challenges that are existing.

I think that there is a broader concern when it comes to officials and government, and let's be very clear.

These tragedies are crippling to see. But in and of themselves, those tragedies do not change the Second Amendment to the United States.

The No. 1 thing we do is we actually stop processing people at an illegal point of entry because then they won't pay the drug cartels.

Hope is not the strategy, Dr. Gupta. Hope is wishful thinking.

It is crystal clear that examining the globe, it is just not possible in so many other places the way it is possible here in the United States.

Success is really, really hard. It requires a ton of sacrifice.

Especially in light of the testimony by Mr. Goodell, how does continuing this hearing actually relate to a legitimate task of Congress in the face of record high inflation, record high gas prices, a completely unsecured border, a fentanyl…

It is without question that the American Rescue Plan has led to inflation.

It was in blue states that the job market did not respond as well.

I find it interesting that we are talking about the American Rescue Plan since it just didn't work, guys.

It should never be tolerated. The only thing I would say is that if we`re going to discuss the facts surrounding January 6th, let`s discuss them all.

The real question is what did Nancy Pelosi know about these troops and what did Muriel Bowser, the mayor of D.C., do with the National Guard troops that were in in D.C. on the 6th?

It was a tragedy for the nation. Nobody is allowed to breach a federal building. And I mean nobody. It doesn`t matter what side of politics you`re on.

The issue is much more about mental health than it is about the ability to acquire firearms.
