Bill Nelson
The Public Record
Bill Nelson is an American politician and attorney who served as a United States Senator from Florida from 2001 to 2019. A member of the Democratic Party, he previously represented Florida's 9th congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1993 to 2001. Nelson also held the position of Florida's Insurance Commissioner from 1995 to 1999, where he focused on consumer protection and insurance reform.

Individual states, not the Federal Government, continue to be the primary regulators of insurance.
But yet they participate and understand the importance of the Magnuson-Stevens Act.
Of course, my state, when it comes to recreational, charter boats, as well as commercial fishing, we're known as the capital of the fishing world.
Clearly, Mr. Chairman, your State of Alaska is one of the most fertile fisheries around.
