Thank you, Mr. Chairman, and thank you for holding this hearing to discuss a topic that is certainly of paramount importance to the State of Florida.

Human activity is drastically changing our world's climate, and not for the better, and we will have to use data and analysis to adapt agricultural practices and protect workers.

At this point, I'm wondering that there is such a thing as data security.

Only stiffer enforcement and stringent penalties will help incentivize companies to properly safeguard consumer information.

But if we are going to do anything meaningful, Congress must have the political will to hold these corporations accountable.

I strongly believe that without such rigorous data security rules in place, the next massive data breach is right around the corner.
