All of us agree that the right to vote is a precious right, and it sets apart the United States from a lot of the countries of the world.

Bill Nelson is an American politician and attorney who served as a United States Senator from Florida from 2001 to 2019. A member of the Democratic Party, he previously represented Florida's 9th congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1993 to 2001. Nelson also held the position of Florida's Insurance Commissioner from 1995 to 1999, where he focused on consumer protection and insurance reform.

Thus, we had early voting, and thus, the old absentee ballot where you actually had to swear that you were going to be absent on the day of voting, that was changed to vote by mail.
There are people literally fighting and dying as we sit here for the right to vote in countries like Syria, and we are finding ways to restrict the right to vote?
All the other rights are going to be protected only if women have the right to vote.
I think without question, though, from a legal standpoint here, we realize that this particular law has a disparate impact on African-Americans.
