Bill Nelson is an American politician and attorney who served as a United States Senator from Florida from 2001 to 2019. A member of the Democratic Party, he previously represented Florida's 9th congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1993 to 2001. Nelson also held the position of Florida's Insurance Commissioner from 1995 to 1999, where he focused on consumer protection and insurance reform.
We had a place called the Marianna Boy's School in Marianna, FL where the grounds were immaculate.
With that much loss outside of the Northeast Corridor, how can you justify doing what you do, other than it is a government service?
Now, I am from Florida. Sadly, the attempt to build high-speed rail was rejected by our Governor, and we had a project ready to go.
OK. So, then, my interpretation was correct. You have a $400 million to $500 million loss, but the Federal Government subsidizes that----
And then when the Florida Department of Transportation estimates came out, it would have shown that it would have actually made $10 million in the first year on the expected ridership.
Well, that is true. I mean, the state has to give them the ability on the state right-of-way along this expressway...
