A member of the Democratic Party, he previously represented Florida's 9th congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1993 to 2001. And further questioning of the Democratic leader, I think Senator Warner said two people, two Senators could speak.
If the Senator will yield and if I may comment, all of those red portions, save for the very southern tip of Florida, which is the Everglades, sit mainly along the coast. That is where the population of Florida mainly resides. Why can't…
I tell the Senator, the distinguished chairman of the committee, we already know what is out there.
The Senator from Florida will yield the floor when I see a good-faith effort of sharing the language. The Senator from Florida has been waiting for 6\1/2\ hours. I have made innumerable requests to the Senator's staff, both majority and…
The Senator will be glad to yield to my leader, without losing my right to the floor.
We have been discussing this Energy bill. At 10 o'clock this morning, I had discussions with the chairman of the committee and the ranking member. They were trying to work out some language to solve the problem with regard to drilling off…
I will yield to the chairman. You caught me in midsentence. I was about to talk about the fragility of the Keys of Florida, but I want to yield to my chairman because he is such a great chairman and he is such a good friend.

I thank the Chairman, but I was asking a different question. I was wondering when we would be able to have some substantive discussion on a future colloquy that we would have on the floor.
I commend the leadership. I rise to address the Senate on the subject of sexual predators. We have certainly had our fill of these people who prey on children in the State of Florida. The Nation has recently joined Florida in mourning the…

I want to inform the Senate I am introducing a bill today that I will offer as an amendment to the supplemental funding bill for defense... in the middle of a war is not the time for us to be reducing our ability to protect our forces…
Indeed, the Senator has put his finger on the problem and the attempted solution to the problem, recognizing that we want to work with the banking industry and the credit card industry so this does not become a loophole that somebody can…
I would ask you to maintain the Office of the Special Envoy for Holocaust Issues.
There seems to be some flap over this very courageous Cuban resident name Oswaldo Paya.
I hope the Chairman will call for hearings on this, and I fully support him.
Madam Secretary-designate, you can make a difference. If you'll jump on that horse and ride it, and keep on it over the next four years of your tenure, it'll start to pay huge dividends.
What specific steps will you advocate to stop Iran's nuclear program? And I'm talking about beyond the noise that we hear from Europe. This Senator doesn't think that's gonna cut it.
I want to suggest something to you. And it's a bill that is sponsored by one of our Republican colleagues, Mike DeWine of Ohio, and it's called the HERO Act.
Now, when the U.N. peacekeeping force comes up for reauthorizing, in the Security Council, what's going to be your posture about considering an expansion of that peacekeeping force?
