According to Commissioner Nancy Nord's letter to Senator Bill Nelson, the CPSC's Directorate for Engineering Sciences will be examining and testing components in homes that may be affected by emissions from Chinese drywall.

The deregulation permitted this operation that was not regulated to do whatever it chose to do without setting aside capital to support the obligations it incurred.

I am interested in how we can find a way to regulate leverage, because leverage seems to be the operative word when you look at what happened with AIG.

The CPSC has entered into talks with the Chinese government; specifically, the Chinese product safety regulator.

How many homes do you think need to be tested before we get helpful test results?

I applaud his efforts in trying to help us hardworking individuals who purchased a 'product' in good faith.

If you find that there's something hazardous, and you come to that conclusion, do you recommend, then, to the board of the CPSC, that they take immediate action with regard to stopping importation of this material?
