What about the Brits? What about the French? Do they have the capabilities of stopping a rogue cyber attack from coming in and suddenly messing up their command and control?
I appreciate that, and that is assuring, even though we might have a cyber attack that would take out electric grids.
You must be one of the most frustrated people on the planet, because you know the threat in cyber and here Congress can't get anything done because certain players won't allow the passage of the legislation.
The National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2008 directed the Secretary of Defense to develop and implement a plan to optimize the use of strategic ports.
General Fraser, the U.S. Transportation Command (TRANSCOM) is the Department of Defense (DOD) lead for in-transit visibility (ITV) throughout the supply chain.
It seems that on the one hand, we have Assad, and on the other hand, we have a group that's fighting Assad that increasingly--al Nasra, which is in bed with al Qaeda--is trying to take over.
How critical is JSTARS? Specifically, could you perform the wide area surveillance mission without it?
I think I can manage that with the resources we have. But we are beginning to create a readiness problem if we don't resolve the CR and/or have an opportunity to manage the sequestration money.

On February 15, 2013, Navy notified private-sector ship repair contractors of potential cancellations of third and fourth quarter ship maintenance availabilities.
Mr. Chairman, if we have this kind of implementation, then we are not going to fulfill the goal that we all set when we laboriously put together, in your committee, this health care bill.
Well, I can tell you that the representative of the Majority Leader, Kate Leone, in the negotiations, has told this Senator that, first of all, HHS had put CO-OPs on the table as a source of revenue.
The law says that there is going to be a health insurance exchange come 2014.

One of those incentives that we put in the law was the community-oriented health plans.
So I want somebody to be accountable for this and, if it was a mistake, for somebody to own up to it.
The health care law is working. Now, there are a couple of big obstacles in the way.
The bad news is, in the opinion of this Senator, that we are going to have a crisis again come this fall.
