You will lose. This will cost you the majority next year, and some of you aren't going to be here in the next Congress. I hope you have had your fun.
Can anybody in here, particularly those of us on the Rules Committee, name any other President in the history of the United States that has asked a foreign government or its leaders to investigate an American citizen for political purposes?
I do think that its disadvantages outweigh its advantages, and that it ultimately will not work with a budget as complex and as fraught with partisanship as ours.
